Kornel Nemeth is the 4th overall in the first round!
(2010. Jun 08.)
Kornel Nemeth finished 4th overall in the first round of the Canadian Championship clinching 2nd and 7th place, in Kamloops. Kornel finished second in the free practice behind Dusty Klatt, and clinched a second again in the time practice less than half a second behind Bobby Kiniry.
He got a great start in the first moto, but the reigning champion, Facciotti took the lead and Kornel couldn't catch the Canadian. In the second moto some riders got stucked after the start, and Kornel crashed into them. Kornel had to make his way up to the front almost from the end of the field, he was fighting hard for the positions, but he couldn't finish more forward then a respectable 7th place.
Kornel: "I'm not that satisfied with the result. The track was very rough. In the first moto I got a good start, but Faciotti was very fast and I couldn't keep up the pace with him. In the second moto I crashed after the start because some riders stopped in front of me and I crashed into them and in the end I finished 7th. My bike is very good, it's very strong and works so well. I hope I'll do much better on the next round, I need to work on my fitness and have to finetune the bike a bit, then everything will be okay."
Next race will be held this Sunday on Castrol Raceway, Edmonton.
