Calgary: Kornel Nemeth 8th
(2010. Jun 21.)
A weekend is over again and that means it was time again for Canadian Championship, unfortunately without the expected result.
Calgary took place for the 3rd round, where Kornel Nemeth finished 8th overall. The weather was terrible all week long in Canada, tracks were under water, so Kornel couldn’t ride at all last week.
Although Kornel was 4th fastest both the free practice and the time practice, but the race didn’t go that well.
He had a bad start in the first race, but he was riding great and battled to race with the front riders, but he got arm pump early. It was over halfway, when the race was stopped because of the big crash of the leader Colton Facciotti. Kornel finished 6th.
The start of the second race was much better for him, he was in 9th place after the start. Kornel was riding 6th position again, but nearing to the end of the race he lost the rhythm and dropped back a little and crossed the finish line in 9th position.
Overall he finished 8th with 27 points.
“This situation is really frustrating me, because I wanted a good result, but I knew I won’t be in such a shape that I was in last year, because I couldn’t do good races with good riders at the beginning of the year. I would like to do well not just for me but for the team, becasue they do everything to have things alright, but the results just don’t come. The arrow points forward, there’s always an open door that you can go in just need to find the key to it. And I’m looking for this key now.”
Hopefully that key is in front of him and just has to pick up, and we’ll see him on the podium this Sunday in Morden, the 4th round of the Canadian Championship.
