Belgium - Lommel
(2008. Aug 06.)
A long time ago there was no motocross MX1 race at Lommel due to the Belgian grand prix used to held in Namur in the past few years.
This track is extremely laborious, one of the three sand track of the season.
Kornel likes sand, he is fast in this surface because he trains a lot of sand tracks during the winter trainings.
In the saturday time practice Kornel felt himself very confidently, he picked up the track very easily and took a few very
consistent consecutive laps, that became payed back according to the lap times.
By 2:04.660, he got the 9th position in the start grid, that made himself to be pleased.
The motos in sunday were quite good for him, both of the races he got around 13th position at the first corner,
he managed good races with only a few minor mistakes, he was really focused and achieved a 11th place in the
first and the magnificent 7th !! position in the second moto.
"I felt really good at the whole weekend, the track is 2 and a half hour from my home at Germany, so I did not get tired during the trip.
Apart from the extrem difficulty of the track, I really enjoyed the races. The bike was excellent at the whole weekend,
my mechanic made a perfect job, so beeing the 8th in the final
classification is deserted I think."
Congratulations to Kori for the good result, we wish the same for the following Czech GP next weekend,
where we will be there as well (as well as all of the following races).
